BOEING 797

I just received an email of Boeing 797 and found out that it is untrue.................
 BOEING 797- blended wing passenger liner !!
It can comfortably fly 10,000 Miles (16,000 km) at Mach 0.88 or 654 mph (1,046 km/h)
with 1000 passengers on board !
They have kept this secret long enough.
This shot was taken last month by an amateur photographer.

Since 2006 the above hoax message has been circulating via email and online which is preposterous as denied by Boeing. Someone was having a bit of fun with Photo Shop perhaps. Boeing is not planning to build a 1,000 passenger commercial airplane dubbed the "797," based on the blended wing body (BWB) concept or any other futuristic concept. Instead Boeing is developing the 787 as the perfect match to help meet point-to-point routes demand. What is true, according to Boeing, is that Boeing Phantom Works, the company's advanced research and development organization, is doing research on the blended wing body design as a potential military aircraft.  Boeing has built a scale model to test its low-speed flying characteristics in a wind tunnel.  There are also plans (as of 7/13/07) to flight test a scale model.
